Total cost compared

Base fee (annual) plus payment fees with Shopify Payments, at your revenue.

Guidance based on public Shopify prices (US, as of 2026) and Shopify Payments. App costs and individual Plus terms are not included.

How does the advisor work?

The advisor calculates your total cost for each plan from the base fee plus payment fees at your revenue. Higher plans have a higher base fee but a lower card rate, so switching pays off above a certain revenue. If you need advanced reports or real B2B, the advisor recommends the fitting plan directly.

Frequently asked questions about Shopify plans

The essentials on choosing a plan and the break-even.

Which Shopify plan is right?

It depends on revenue and feature needs. At low revenue Basic is often cheapest; above a certain revenue the lower card rate of Shopify or Advanced offsets the higher base fee. B2B, multiple country stores or very high volumes point to Plus.

At what revenue does a higher plan pay off?

Rule of thumb with Shopify Payments: from around $25,000 monthly revenue, Shopify (Grow) becomes cheaper than Basic; from around $110,000, Advanced becomes cheaper than Grow. The advisor calculates this for your specific revenue.

When do I need Shopify Plus?

Plus is worth it for real B2B with price lists and corporate accounts, multiple country stores, very high order volumes, or when you want to customise checkout and automation more deeply. Terms are negotiated individually.
